The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Wednesday launched the Saudi Noor Volunteer Program to Combat Blindness and Diseases that Cause It in Bosaso city, Somalia, in collaboration with Al-Basar International Foundation.
As part of the program, the volunteer medical team affiliated with KSrelief examined 1,340 individuals and successfully performed 180 specialized surgeries.
The project is part of the volunteer medical programs carried out by KSrelief, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian arm, aimed at combating blindness and related diseases and providing assistance to individuals suffering from eye diseases in countries and populations in need.
