Two Somalis were injured in a fight in Birzebbuga late last night, the police said.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the two men had an argument, and the resultant injuries came about from the use of some sort of glass weapon.

One of them, a 29-year-old man, was critically hurt but his condition improved after intensive medical care. The other man, aged 38, was slightly injured.

The two blood soaked men were found in Zaren Dalli Street and were initially unable to communicate due to their injuries.
