Victims of terrorist attack in Mogadishu arrive in Saudi Arabia for treatment

Representatives of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the Ministry of Health, and the Somali Ambassador to the Kingdom, Salim Maow Haji, received the injured Somalis upon their arrival in Riyadh

RIYADH — A plane carrying six injured Somalis arrived on Friday at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh for treatment in the Kingdom.

It comes in an implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to treat several wounded Somalis who were injured as a result of the terrorist bombing that recently targeted a hotel in Mogadishu.

Representatives of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the Ministry of Health, and the Somali Ambassador to the Kingdom, Salim Maow Haji, received the injured Somalis upon their arrival in Riyadh.

Advisor at the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of KSrelief, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for his generous directives, which represents an extension of his compassionate deeds that include providing service and assistance to all afflicted Arab, Islamic and friendly peoples.

The Somali ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his prompt response, and for the professional and organized work of transporting the injured, noting that this embodies the depth of the relations between the two countries.

For their part, the injured Somalis expressed their sincere gratitude to the Saudi leadership for taking care of their treatment, and for the warm reception and hospitality they have received since they arrived in the Kingdom.
