The time has come to decide on a very decisive point of our history. Supporting the no confidence motion against the cabinet and the PM is supporting dishonesty, a rogue cartel (Damul Jadid) operating outside the laws of the country and its Provisional Constitution, and committing a crime of bribery by selling your voice.
You have to support Somalia win this case: a case having its roots in a power cartel that brought the President in and now planning to harvest their unlawful actions and trying to translate it onto obtaining more government positions and financial opportunities and assets.
This unlawful pressure group is recruiting people and they are flourishing at a fast speed. But sadly they do not conform, adhere and respect the laws of the country. The Parliament should stop them now or Somalia will enter a period of a rogue government in which the Institutions such as the Parliament, the Presidency and the Executive (cabinet and the Prime Minister) are only rubber stamps. Somalia never had an independent judiciary branch of the government.
Damul Jadid, is worse than the Egyptian Brotherhood and as a rogue cartel it should be cracked down and their leaders should face the justice of Somalia and their assets should be confiscated by the government. This group is against law and order to prevail in Somalia and its development following the international law and standards.
The International Community should look deep into the mess of Damul Jadid and the crisis they created in order to rule Somalia in their own way. They are far worse than what we used to call as the spoilers of the political stability of Somalia. They are a great obstacle on the way to stabilise and develop Somalia. Abdulkadir Abiikar Hussein
