Press Release
Mogadishu – International Human development Organization (IHDO) donated a 20 feet container of first line medicines to Somalia. The medicines were donated to hospitals in Mogadishu during the month of April 2014.
IHDO Mogadishu office coordinator, Hamad Abdulqadir, visited local hospitals to assess their needs. Based on this assessment IHDO distributed the medicines to those hospitals most in need. A follow-up program has been set up to track the effectiveness of this project.
The intended objective is to continue supporting the designated recipient hospitals to strengthen their capacity .Many of those hospitals are poorly equipped despite a growing number of patients they provide services.
IHDO is working hard to send medical equipment to those hospitals in the near future.
Finally, our thanks go to our Canadian partners, Human Concern International (HCI) and Health partners international of Canada (HPIC) for their continuous support to complete this project successfully.
