Gunmen kill 5 Eritrean refugees in Ethiopia’s Afar region – UN

NAIROBI (Reuters) – At least 5 Eritreans had been killed when gunmen attacked a refugee camp in Ethiopia’s northeastern Afar region throughout preventing between rebellious Tigrayan and Afar forces in the world on Feb. 3, the U.N. refugee company (UNHCR) mentioned on Friday.

Refugees advised UNHCR that armed males attacked the camp, kidnapped a number of girls, looted property and occupied their houses, inflicting hundreds to flee.

“UNHCR is working with the Ethiopian authorities and companions to offer emergency assist to hundreds of Eritrean refugees who fled Barahle refugee camp and its environs in the Afar region after preventing engulfed the world,” the company mentioned in a press release.
