At least two men shut down a public meeting over a new mosque by launching hateful rants.

The shocking incident happened in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, and was captured on camera by disgusted onlooker, Munira Salim Abdalla.

In the footage, the main instigator of the abuse can be seen shouting down the event’s speakers and making vile slurs about all muslims.

Reportedly, some of the attendees at the meeting were concerned that the proposednew mosque would house refugees Syria.

Samer Shalaby was making a presentation about a new mosque on behalf of his religious organization when he was shouted down and called a terrorist.

He told local news : “It just kept getting worse and worse.

“People were pointing fingers and waiving arms.”

The ruckus was eventually dispersed by the local deputy sheriff after it became clear that the men had no intention of calming down.

Shalaby is a trustee of the Islamic Center of Fredericksburg, an organization which has been there for nearly 30 years.

He said parents are now afraid to send their children to Sunday school at the center because of the threats and insults made at the meeting.
