KUWAIT CITY, An Ethiopian woman was arrested in Maidan Hawally area in possession of 8 kilograms of ‘Qat’. According to security sources, when Directorate General for Drug Control (DGDC) received information about an Ethiopian woman involved in drug peddling, a team was formed for investigations under the guidance of Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Abdulhameed Al-Awadi and Director of DGDC Major General Saleh Al-Ghanim.

After confirming the information and obtaining a warrant, securitymen rushed to the suspect’s apartment in Maidan Hawally and found 8 kilograms of ‘Qat’.

After she was arrested, she confessed her involvement in drug peddling. She was referred with the confiscated drug to the concerned authorities for further investigations.
