Djibouti government approved the creation of a national airline

Djibouti – “The first objective for the creation of this national carrier is to have an indispensable tool for international influence and promotion of our country’s visibility,” Djibouti’s Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said in a press statement.

He explained that the project’s second objective is economic growth and development of air traffic.

“Creation of this new national airline will on one hand lead to the creation of over 750 jobs and on the other, make Djibouti International Airport a regional hub in air transport,” he said.

Youssouf said the adoption of the project will enable Djibouti to have a tool for implementing its transport and job creation policies as well as diversify its sources of revenue. Enditem
