MORE details have been released by police about the suspects in the investigation into ‘several men’ raping a teenage girl in woodland.
The 17-year-old Asian girl was walking from Darvill’s Lane towards High Street on Friday evening when she met with a group of men close to the junction with Church Street and Chalvey Road West.
The girl started talking with one of the men and walked with him along High Street, stopping at an off license, before heading to Spackmans Way and along a footpath and into some woods near the Jubilee River.
The pair were then joined by four other men that had been part of the group earlier, who arrived in a small silver car. The girl was then raped by several of the men.
The attackers are described as Asian and aged in their twenties.
Police have stepped up their uniformed presence in the area in a bid to reassure residents with extra patrols likely to continue for the rest of the week.
