MOGADISHU,  (Xinhua) — A suicide bomber was killed and eight people including three government soldiers injured in a bomb attack at a resultant in Mogadishu on Thursday, local authorities said.

Local government spokesman Abdifitah Omar Halane confirmed the attack at Warta-Nabda district, saying the deceased who was driving a motorbike stormed the restaurant and then blew up himself, causing casualties on civilian and government officers.

“The attack was carried out by a suicide bomber from Al-Shabaab terror group at a restaurant where people were having tea and chatting. He is dead and eight others were wounded, five are civilians while three others are government soldiers,” Halane said.

The spokesman added the security forces have rushed to the scene to investigate the attack.

Al-Shabaab militants did not comment on the latest terrorist attack so far.
