Cairo (WDN)- A coordinated attack that led to the killing of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the son of the former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has sent shockwaves across the country. Libya has been plunged into a serious security crisis following the confirmed killing of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, in a sophisticated and carefully planned armed assault.

Security sources reported that four armed, unidentified men infiltrated the grounds of his residence in the Al-Hamada district. They first neutralized the security cameras, then fired shots at close range before making a rapid escape from the scene.

Fear and political frenzy have spread rapidly across Libya, with Abdullahi Osman, a political representative of Saif al-Islam, officially confirming the death.

Meanwhile, Libya’s Attorney General has urgently launched a comprehensive investigation, while the 444 Brigade has strenuously denied any involvement in the killing.

This assassination is seen as an event that could significantly alter the course of Libya’s politics and security.
