Mogadshu (WDN)- The Puntland Defense Forces have issued a press statement announcing that they have cleared ISIS militants from the areas between Tasjiic and Xabley following recent security operations conducted in those mountains.

The statement, released by the Office of Anti-Terror Operations under the Puntland Defense Forces Command, stated that the military has taken control of the areas between Tasjiic and the Xable mountains, including Darayle, Gambara, Dhaban-Gooxle, and Dul.

“The areas that the forces have reclaimed from ISIS militants, located between Tasjiic and Xabley, include Darayle, Gambara, Dhaban-Gooxle, and Dul,” the statement from the Office of Anti-Terror Operations under the Puntland Defense Forces Command read.

Additionally, Puntland Defense Forces conducted an operation in the areas of Isha Bilcil and Isha Daltoonle, located along the Jeceel valley, where they destroyed military bases abandoned by ISIS fighters.
