Baidoa (WDN)- The South West Regional Government has expressed serious concern over the escalating conflict between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and South West State. In a press release, it stated that Somali forces trained for national defense are being used by the federal government to fuel conflict, insecurity, and instability; actions that could lead to displacement and a humanitarian crisis. The statement further emphasized that any dispute should be resolved through dialogue and in accordance with the country’s laws.
