Apr 26, 2011 (BBC Monitoring) -- Security minister of Somalia's Puntland government accuses Al-Shabab for the increased insecurity in main towns of Puntland.
The security minister of Puntland regional administration Yusuf Ahmad Khayr has accused Al-Shabab Islamic Movement for being responsible the insecurity of main towns of the administration. The minister who held a news conference in Garowe, the capital of Puntland has said that Islamists of Al-Shabab are involved in those acts saying that his administration will take any possible measure to curb the insecurity.
Puntland security minister has further commented on the latest killings and explosions in Puntland stressing that his government has succeeded to seize criminals and will continue to crack down those trying to destabilize the region. the statement of the minister comes at a time people in Puntland expressed serious concerns over the assassinations targeting at the influential people in Gaalkacyo and Boosaaso town.
